I have had quite a few different Iyengar Yoga teachers over the years. Manyee is simply one of the best teachers I have ever come across. She knows yoga inside out, and is able to help me continually grow and improve my practise. She also makes classes fun and enjoyable.
What I like about Iyengar yoga is its unity of mind and body. Asanas and their precursors are not just physical exercises but opportunities to learn to understand and control the body mentally. This internal discipline allows you to develop concentration and awareness, as well as strength and flexibility. And the use of aids as required means that everyone can experience these benefits, despite bodily limitations.
I have practiced Iyengar Yoga for over 20 years. Since coming under Manyee’s tuition it has reinvigorated my focus, I particularly like her imagery and attention to detail which has helped correct old habits and allowed me to develop a new appreciation of the benefits of Iyengar. Manyee has a delightful style of teaching and her particular interest in Therapeutic Yoga constantly offers me new ideas to improve my posture.
